The Scientific Committee - grant giving body

The Scientific Committee (SC) nominated by the Board of Governors of WWF-Pakistan administers the Small Grant Programme. The SC comprises of eminent scientists from diverse backgrounds. The body reviews, approves and monitors the projects submitted. The committee works in accordance with the WWF Global Programme Framework and also provides scientific and technical assistance to WWF-Pakistan when required.

Project Proposal Review Mechanism

The Scientific Committee (SC) meets quarterly to allocate funds to new project proposals. During these meetings, the project executants present their final reports that are discussed and evaluated. The new project proposals are received from interested conservationists on the prescribed format. The committee then decides whether international funding should be sought for a larger, longer term initiative, or whether a further on-site evaluation is required. The Committee also reviews the progress of the on-going projects
