How food is produced, processed, transported, and consumed has a profound impact on the sustainability of the food supply chain and natural resources. Similarly, food wastage has serious environmental impacts.
WWF-Pakistan is working on the sustainability of the food supply chain, focusing on reducing harvest and post-harvest losses of agricultural commodities, consumers’ dietary behaviours, reducing food waste, etc.
We are working on rice, sugarcane, and wheat to promote sustainable production practices and reduce the wastage of apricots by adding value to ensure a sustainable supply chain.
