Summary
Spellathon is a spelling test of environmental terms and issues, developed for children at English medium schools. The main aim is to increase children's awareness regarding environmental issues. Using high quality colourful information brochures, provided as part of the program, they can have fun while improving their spelling and gaining a greater knowledge of the environment. Children make a small donation to participate and receive special prizes according to their score on the quiz.
Since 1966, Spellathon has become a popular learning experience for many students from around Pakistan. It held annually.
Objective
The main objectives of this activity are awareness raising about the key environmental issues and the need for conservation. This also helps in improving their language skills by increasing their comprehension and vocabulary skills.
