WWF-Pakistan's Women in Nature Conservation Award
WWF – Pakistan is working at the grass-root level with indigenous communities for management, conservation and sustainable utilisation of natural resources. WWF – Pakistan is also making efforts to recognise the commendable work of the associated communities through various awards such as the prestigious Syed Asad Ali Conservation Award and the Living Planet Award etc. Recently WWF – Pakistan has taken another radical step to introduce the ‘Women in Nature Conservation’ Award. The Women in Conservation Award was conceived to celebrate the achievement of unsung women conservationists in Pakistan. These women make a huge contribution to the field of conservation such as biodiversity and forest conservation. The award aims to recognise the magnificent contribution of the women towards nature conservation at the grass-root level. Selection Criteria
Award; The winner will be honoured with a cash prize of Rs. 50,000/-, a commemorative certificate signed by the President of WWF- Pakistan and a souvenir. Ceremony Individuals/organisations are invited to nominate suitable candidates
