Leadership for Environment and Development (LEAD)
LEAD Pakistan is a non-profit organization working since 1995 to create and sustain a global network of leaders who are committed to promoting change towards the patterns of sustainable development that is economically sound, environmentally responsible and socially equitable in line with Agenda 21.
LEAD is partnered with WWF-Pakistan’s CCAP for training and capacity building of staff and beneficiaries. LEAD will take responsibility for capacity-building of governments and authorities at different levels and local communities, and will work with the scientific community and other national nongovernmental organizations. LEAD Pakistan brings to the project the valuable LEAD International Network of Fellows, a network of over 1000 members providing climate change knowledge and experience from different regions of the world. LEAD is also partner to the recently announced Climate and Development Knowledge Network (CDKN), which forms part of an international consortium funded by DfID. CDKN aims to strengthen developing country research capacity and support international climate change knowledge.
