WWF documentaries to be aired on Virtual University

World Wide Fund for Nature Pakistan (WWF-Pakistan) and Virtual University Pakistan have signed a five-year Memorandum of Understanding under which WWF - Pakistan will provide documentaries on important environmental and wildlife issues to Virtual University of Pakistan that will be aired by the latter. Documentaries cover diverse topics such as deforestation and Green turtles.

WWF and The Virtual University of Pakistan intend to collaborate their efforts to better serve society. Awareness raising is one of the major focus of WWF-Pakistan and using the electronic media for this is effective. Virtual University also aims to educate the masses and provide information on important issues.

WWF is one of the largest conservation organisation, with a mission to conserve nature and ecological processes by preserving genetics, species and ecosystem diversity, ensuring that the use of renewable natural resources is sustainable both now and in the longer term and promoting action to reduce pollution and wasteful exploitation and consumption of resources and energy.

“This is an important step and WWF-Pakistan looks forward to forging closer ties with other electronic media companies to propagate the cause of nature” states Samman Ehsan, Senior Communications Executive.
